Overview

The Jewish Home for the Elderly’s Foundation was founded in 1992 to raise, manage and steward philanthropic funds exclusively to support the work of The Jewish Home for the Elderly. Through various fund-raising methods including special events, annual appeals, membership revenue, Endowment gifts, planned gifts, and other targeted funding opportunities, the Foundation collaborates with the staff of the Home to establish specific funding opportunities that benefit the residents of The Jewish Home. The Foundation works closely with several donor groups including the Women’s Auxiliary, the Men’s Club, and the Sustaining Donor Program.

This guide has been prepared to help you consider the many ways in which you can support The Jewish Home and help to enrich the lives of our residents. Your personal commitment both “hands on” as a volunteer and financially as a donor, is the best way to enhance The Jewish Home’s programs beyond the constraint of our operating budget. You will help to secure the quality of life of our residents, which has made the Home a national model for long-term health care.

Please take a moment to review the following information about the JHE Foundation. We know that you will be inspired to become involved with us as we strive to fulfill our mission of outstanding care to the elderly.
