Bridgeport, Easton, Stratford residents welcome 2008 at the Adult Day Center at The Jewish Home, Fairfield

The Rasmussens: William and Florence Rasmussen, of Stratford, at the New Year's Party at The Adult Day Center of The Jewish Home for The Elderly , Fairfield.

The Tasis: Ida and Sam Tasi, of Easton, dance cheek - to - cheek at the New Year's Party at The Adult Day Center at The Jewish Home for The Elderly , Fairfield, as their daughter Lisa looks on lovingly.

The Bennetts: Lillie-Mae Bennett , of Stratford , dancing with her son Kwadwo Bennett, of Bridgeport, at the New Year's Party at The Adult Day Center of The Jewish Home for The Elderly, Fairfield. "I am very glad to be here with my mother," said Mr. Bennett.

Recently, 12/31/07, at the Adult Day Center of The Jewish Home for the Elderly, Fairfield, 2008 was ushered in with music and merriment.

"It is a pleasure to be at this New Year's Party," said Ms. Rasmussen between dances. "My family is so happy with the Center and everything the staff does for my husband and for me."

Live musical entertainment, colorful balloons, festive centerpieces, streamers and other decorations created the perfect atmosphere for the celebration. Everyone enjoyed the traditional party foods and counting down until it was time to welcome the New Year with a "champagne" toast .

"This is the most fun we have had this holiday season," said Ms. Tasi . "The Center has become our second home. Being here together as a family to welcome the New Year means a great deal to us."
