Child Care Center

The Jewish Home Child Care Center exemplifies excellence in early childhood education.  It is a nurturing place for children of all denominations.  We are State Licensed and open 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday for children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality child care in a safe, warm, relaxed and happy environment where each child is loved and respected for who they are.  Our Center is truly your child’s home away from home.   We provide a daily log sheet for all children that details your child’s day.  We take delight in working with your child through each stage of their development.

We cater to each baby’s individualized schedule and needs. We welcome and encourage both breastfed and formula-fed babies.  We have a quiet space for feeding your baby should you have the time to visit with us during the day.  Babies are held and interacted with both bottle feedings and socialization throughout the day.  We establish and build trust with the infants and their parents.  We love working with our babies to provide tummy time, to help them with acquiring their new skills of feeding themselves, learning to crawl, and walking.  As our infants become mobile they start their journey on to the toddler world of independence.

As toddlers they explore their new world with curiosity and eagerness.  We provide for their safety while allowing them the room necessary to grow.  At this stage of development the children will begin to develop their use of language, socialize, understand their emotions, learn to use the toilet, enjoy learning and repeating songs, and developing their large and small muscles.  This adds up to a very busy day for active toddlers.

Our preschool program provides a teacher planned curriculum as well as time for emergent curriculum that is child driven.  Importance is placed on promoting a strong sense of self as both individuals and members of the group.  An important goal of our curriculum is to help children become independent, self-confident, enthusiastic learners. Our program guides and develops their successful socialization while providing challenging learning opportunities.

Our professional staff is fully trained in early childhood education and dedicated to fostering a positive environment.  All staff members are first aid and CPR Certified. Most or our teachers have been with us for over ten years.  We have a Registered Nurse on site who is available at all times.

The Child Care Center is in its own separate building and located on the beautiful 15 acre campus of The Jewish Home which is the perfect setting for stroller walks, and nature studies.  There are two enclosed outdoor play areas and indoor space for rainy day movement.

We understand it is the parents who know their child best and we work to develop partnerships between home and The Child Care Center upon which to build your child’s future success.
